Brian has over two decades of experience working in the accounting, legal, and investment professions and has spent the majority of his career helping families navigate the complexities and opportunities of multi-generational wealth. After attending St. Louis University and St. Louis University School of Law, he began his tax career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and then transitioned to practice tax and estate law at the law firm of Husch & Eppenberger. These experiences stoked his desire to be more involved with the families he worked with and reshape how they were served with regard to their wealth. After several years of working at another financial advisory firm, Brian joined Matter in 2007.
As a Partner and Managing Member, Brian is responsible for leading the delivery of Matter services along with overseeing Legal and Risk for the firm. He serves on the Board of Managers and the Wealth Planning & Coordination Committee.
Brian is involved in several organizations in the St. Louis Community, including YPO St. Louis, the St. Louis Sports Commission Board of Directors, Social Venture Partners, St. Louis University Sports Advisory Board, and the St. Louis University High School Alumni Board.
Free time is spent outdoors with his wife, son and daughter. And with a large extended family, nearly every day is an excuse to get together and celebrate.
