When Celeste came to Matter in 2013, she brought with her a dynamic blend of skills and experience from her years as an educator and Teach For America Corps Member. She has utilized her passion for organization and creativity to facilitate a variety of projects throughout her time at Matter. Currently, she is responsible for Matter’s recruiting and hiring, and plays a key role in Matter’s internal and external communications, as well as talent management systems.

A Virginia native, Celeste earned a distinguished BA degree in French from the University of Virginia. During her four years as a St. Louis middle school math teacher, she earned her Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
