In 2007, after three years in corporate finance with GE, Ryan’s search for meaningful client relationships led him to Matter. He quickly earned his CFP®️ designation in 2009 and specializes in leading families with complex multi-generational wealth. Ryan earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®️) designation in 2019 to compliment his technical skills. Ryan currently serves as one of the firm’s four Managing Members and is also a member of our Wealth Planning & Coordination Committee. In addition, he oversees Matter’s people and processes.
Ryan’s natural leadership qualities and determination go beyond his professional life. He spent a decade on the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition Boards and now serves on the governing board of the Institute for Child Welfare based in St. Louis.
Ryan graduated from Wake Forest University with a BS in Analytic Finance and lives in Dallas with his wife, Jessica, and daughters Reagan and Evelyn. When he’s not with clients or family, his passions involve traveling and athletics, especially endurance sports. While there are many marathons and even an Ironman in Ryan’s past, one of his proudest accomplishments was running the 121st Boston Marathon.
