Laura M. Slawski, CFP®Financial Consultant
Laura joined Matter in 2018. She began her financial career as an analyst at Asset Consulting Group before transitioning to a client service manager role at Moneta, in order to work more closely with families. Her attention to detail and expertise in financial planning make her a great fit for Matter, and she enjoys supporting our families by helping them to see and manage their whole financial world.
After receiving a BA in history from Kenyon College, Laura earned her CFP® designation. She works for Matter from the Windy City and volunteers with Chicago Public Radio in her free time. Laura is a big fan of the show “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” and supports the production as a studio volunteer, ushering people to their seats, taking photos, and shutting things down at the end of the night.
When she’s not serving Matter families or public radio, Laura enjoys crafting, reading mysteries, and cuddling with Alfie the Cavapoo—who, notably, placed second in the cutest dog competition at her husband’s office. A new member of her local community garden, Laura is also adding urban farming to her growing list of hobbies.
