Molly M. Ortwerth

Molly joined Matter in 2021 and works from our St. Louis office. With more than a decade of experience in finance, most recently at Argent Capital, Molly was drawn to Matter’s welcoming and collaborative culture and holistic approach to helping families thrive. She is committed to building meaningful relationships with the families she serves and working with them to create investment and philanthropic strategies that align with their values and meet their objectives.  

A graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, Molly has a BA in finance and banking and is an active member of the St. Louis Women in Investments Network. She is passionate about giving back to her community and is particularly focused on initiatives that support healthcare access and equity for children of all backgrounds. She is a founding member and serves on the board of Young Friends of Mercy, helping to raise funds and awareness for the Mercy Health Foundation of St. Louis, and was a founding member of both Muny Young Friends and Danforth Center Young Friends.  

In her spare moments, Molly loves spending time with her husband chasing after their two young boys, with Penny the Cavapoo in tow. They enjoy exploring their Kirkwood neighborhood (watching for trains and visiting the fire station are big highlights) and dining al fresco at the many great restaurants downtown. Molly also carves out time to connect with longtime friends and get together with family, and she is grateful to call the St. Louis area home.
