Thomas Bevington, CFP®Senior Financial Consultant
Thomas joined Matter in 2023 and works from our Denver office. With more than seven years of financial experience from Schwab and Fidelity, CFP® certification, a Master of Finance from Colorado State University, and two business degrees, Thomas came to our firm equipped and excited to build long-term, meaningful relationships with Matter families.
He was attracted to many things about Matter – our family focus, independence as a fiduciary, and team-based approach to supporting clients – and is fully aligned with our commitment to providing sound financial strategy and guidance in an integrated, comprehensive way. Thomas describes himself as “very analytical” and likes to dive into complex financial challenges, evaluate the options, and determine the best course of action. He particularly enjoys helping families manage their budgets, cash flow, and risk and uncover opportunities for financial optimization and growth.
Thomas’s passion for finance doesn’t stop with Matter families. He believes young people need financial education to set them up for success, and he regularly volunteers with the Rocky Mountain chapter of Junior Achievement to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with kids.
When he’s not working or volunteering, Thomas loves exploring Colorado. From rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, and camping with his wife to getting lost in a good book at a Denver coffee shop, he enjoys experiencing everything Colorado has to offer. Thomas and his wife also love traveling in the US and abroad and strive to add new destinations to their list whenever time permits.
