Matter Team
Claire Hayne, MBA
Claire joined Matter’s Denver office in 2026 with the belief that effective estate planning is about preparing families to steward wealth in a way that helps future generations flourish. She brings 3.5 years of experience in management liability insurance, working with public and private companies on risk management and financial analysis, along with client service experience from the 4UR Ranch and the Aspen Institute.
Drawn to Matter’s intentional approach to helping families grow, protect, and transfer wealth, Claire is especially interested in family learning and communication, and enjoys asking the questions that get to the heart of what a family truly values and hopes to achieve.
She holds a BA in International and Global Studies from The University of the South and an MBA from the University of Denver, along with an ESG certificate from CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. Her MBA included an internship at Merrill Lynch in alternative investment analysis and client service.
Outside of work, Claire is an artist who makes and sells ceramic trout sculptures inspired by her love of fly fishing. She spends time with her black lab puppy, Joey, backcountry skis in the winter, and mountain bikes in the summer. She is also an avid reader.
