Paul Custer
Paul oversees Matter’s accounting department, managing budgeting, cash flow forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax preparation coordination, and bookkeeping services for our client families.
In addition to his client-facing work, Paul leads the accounting team’s operations, ensuring processes and deliverables meet our firm’s high standards of accuracy and service. He hires and trains new employees for the accounting team and serves as a controller for our internal operations, collaborating with other firm leaders to maintain our financial records and budget.
Before he joined IWP in 2017, Paul spent a decade in corporate retail as a merchandising planner, focusing on budgeting, product allocation, and order flow. He also spent three years managing online purchasing and sales at Denver’s Twist & Shout (the world’s best record store) with a focus on vintage music and memorabilia.
Paul has a BA in Economics from Miami University.
