Payton Mathews

Payton joined Matter’s St. Louis office in 2026, bringing experience in wealth management, nonprofit work, and venture capital gained through internships at Acropolis, The International Center, and New Vista. Across those roles, Payton built a foundation in investment management, client service, and analytical thinking, along with a client-first approach rooted in building meaningful, trust-based relationships.

Drawn to Matter’s integrated approach to wealth management, Payton is especially passionate about helping the rising generation build a strong foundation in financial literacy and stewardship.

Payton holds a BS in finance with a concentration in economics from Butler University. Payton also belongs to Forum One, a peer group that helps young professionals grow personally, professionally, and within their family dynamics, an interest that closely aligns with Matter’s focus on relationships and multigenerational impact.

Golf, pickleball, soccer, and hiking keep Payton active outside of work, as well as time spent with friends and family and cheering on St. Louis sports teams.
